EPA RRP Inintial

The EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Initial course is an 8-hour training program designed for workers, contractors, and supervisors who are new to lead-safe work practices and need to obtain their initial Lead RRP certification. This course provides comprehensive instruction on identifying lead hazards, implementing safe work practices, and complying with EPA, HUD, and OSHA regulations for working in buildings built before 1978.

Participants gain the knowledge and skills needed to safely perform renovation, repair, and painting activities while minimizing lead exposure to themselves, coworkers, and building occupants.
